Creativity from soul to hands

I start with an idea. Sometimes I sketch it to have the form in my fingers. But with the clayslab on the working table, my hands take over. I have a main idea, made many drawings but when it finally comes to creating. I come in a flow where I work towards the main idea, but my hands take over, the clay does it works and during the process I try things. What looks better?
